The assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment of Brownfields (properties with real or perceived contamination) is a high priority for the City of Burlington. Brownfield site conversions can improve ecological conditions, reduce risk to human health and the environment, increase the tax base, create new jobs, create new green space, and curb sprawl.
