Burlington's waterfront is one of the community's most important visual and recreational resources.
Over the last decade, the City has improved park and open space, removed vacant structures, cleaned up contaminated land, and made infrastructure improvements to ensure pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle access. Today the waterfront provides a range of cultural, recreational, social and economic activities for the entire community.
The Waterfront Master Plan describes the overall strategy for the waterfront and the major projects and elements of that strategy. This is the guiding document for the City's waterfront development activities.
